FAVORITE ASPECT OF YOUR JOB
Having the opportunity to work with people I believe are very bright and inspiring, whom I consider friends and family.

FAVORITE BOOK
Lost in Shangri-La by Mitchell Zuckoff: A true story about an airplane crash in New Guinea during WWII (a distant relative, Bella Naimer perished). The few survivors met tribes who never had contact with the outside world and managed to communicate and coexist until their final (ingenuous) rescue.

EDUCATION
Past: Basic schooling, followed by two Masters degrees. Pilot licenses.
Ongoing: Learning something from most everybody I meet and every situation I find myself in.

RATINGS
ATPLs fixed and rotary wing, U.S. and JAR.

RECOGNITIONS
My greatest recognition is that my wife is still by my side (since 1980) and that our dog loves me as well.

WHAT IT ALL MEANS TO YOU
I’ve learned a lot, yet have a long, long way to go.
But I found that if you have:

The size, but lack the format,
The strength, but lack finesse,
The dedication, but lack direction,
The power, but lack sensitivity, and
The knowledge, but lack discretion -
You’ll be a bulldozer in a Japanese garden.
